Theme:  Mad Hatter’s Tea Party

The theme event is inspired by the Mad Hatter’s Tea party tea party event from Lewis Carroll’s Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and movie adaptations.  This beloved tale is known for its whimsical unconventional and slightly chaotic atmosphere.  Alice encounters the Mad Hatter, the March Hare, the Queen of Hearts and the Sleepy Dormouse at a tea party that is perpetually stuck at 6 o’clock. The Queen has anger issues, Alice is confused about how big or how small her body is,  and the Mad Hatter is suffering from mercury poisoning therefore, he never wants to stop having tea!

Get Ready for these fun activities... 

Costume Contest- Dress in your favorite  Alice in Wonderland/Mad Hatter’s tea party attire.

Tablescape decorating contest -  Show your creativity with themed table setting.

Seminar(s)-  Attend a seminar on Royal China Teapots

Join us for a Mad Hatter’s Tea party- We will be serving tea and other goodies . 

Show and Tell and Buy, Sell Trade.

You must be a current member of the Currier and Ives Dinnerware Collectors Club to attend the Convention and/or to purchase the annual commemorative.

Room Reservation: 

• You must call and secure your own room reservations. 

• Both king and queen rooms have been reserved at an excellent rate of $119.00 per night with Breakfast included.

• If you stay over Saturday evening the room rate for that evening will be an additional $10.00. 

• The cut off for room reservations is 6/9/2026.  No exceptions.  

• Please make sure you mention that you are with the Currier and Ives Collectors Club Convention when booking your reservation and check your confirmation.

Registration/Commemorative Order Procedures: 

We are rolling out a new Pilot program for the online Convention Registration and Commemorative Orders.  This year we will NOT be mailing out a Welcome/Informational letter.  Information will be made available on the website, Facebook and newsletters.  You will need to register, pay your registration fees and order and pay for your Commemorative online via the club website, www.currierandivesdinnerware.com.   There is a very small fee (approx. $1.50 added to the cost) to process your credit card via WixPayments.  The goal is to have the forms available online by the end of March or early April. 

 

We realize that with anything new there may be some feelings of uncertainty as change can be overwhelming and difficult.  Know that we appreciate your patience and thank you for your participation in this new endeavor.

Looking for Brown Currier and Ives:

Please bring your brown Currier and Ives dinnerware pieces to the convention for a display and to be photographed in the “white box”.    We are looking for all brown Currier and Ives dinnerware pieces or solid brown Royal China that our members have in their private collections.  These images will be posted on the club website and will go into a data base of Club images to be used in newsletters and such. 

 

Other Information:

Games and other activities will be coordinated by our Convention hosts to keep the fun rolling all weekend.    We welcome you ideas, donations and offers to help.
